The Admit Ledger is published by the research team at InGenius Prep, a college admissions consulting firm. Our analyses combine public data sources with aggregated, anonymized outcomes from students InGenius Prep has worked with.
Our research is written to inform, not to sell. When a finding is about InGenius Prep itself, you'll find it on ingeniusprep.com, not here.
Where the data comes from
- Institutional releases: admissions announcements, Common Data Sets and university fact books.
- Federal and sector data: IPEDS, Open Doors, SEVIS and Common App end-of-season reports.
- Reporting: published journalism, cited by name and linked.
- InGenius Prep outcome data: aggregated results across students InGenius Prep has advised.
Every report and data note lists its sources. Figures that are approximate or come from third-party estimates are marked.
How student data is protected
We never publish data that could identify an individual student. Outcome data is reported only in aggregate, and no group smaller than [minimum group size] students is shown.
Using our data
Charts and downloadable datasets may be reused with attribution to The Admit Ledger. Journalists and researchers can contact the team for methodology details.
